DONALD PETERSEN

Let's talk about some experiences and feelings from this trip to Hong Kong

🈶🈶Because I looked up some travel tips in advance, I managed to avoid some shops with bad service, and throughout the trip, whether playing, asking for directions, or dining, I used Chinese, and didn't encounter any differential treatment or discrimination against mainlanders; 🤣🤣I didn't plan ahead for which restaurants to dine at, so I just went in and ate wherever I passed by, mainly noodle stalls, tea restaurants, and ice rooms. Only later did I find out that tea restaurants are seen by locals in Hong Kong like fast food restaurants in the mainland, edible but generally of average quality. Mainlanders will definitely feel that consumption and dining in Hong Kong are quite expensive, like when I bought a bottle of mineral water for 12 Hong Kong dollars . One reason is that the general income in Hong Kong is relatively high, and the second reason is that when I casually passed by a small shop looking for part-time workers, the hourly wage was 85, which makes the cost of living seem reasonable.
