New Thai Restaurant at Tsuen Wan Plaza

A new Thai restaurant called "Mai Thai" has recently opened at Tsuen Wan Plaza. The decor is quite modern, and the seating is reasonably comfortable. For lunch, we ordered the Thai-style spicy minced pork rice and the braised pork knuckle boat noodles, opting for rice noodles instead of the usual choice. The Thai-style minced pork rice was only mildly spicy but had a fragrant taste, making it perfect to pair with rice. However, the crispy-edged fried egg was overcooked and lacked the desired runny yolk, which was a bit disappointing. As for the boat noodles, the highlight is always the crispy pork skin. While they did include it, the portion was too small—being more generous would be appreciated. The braised pork knuckle could also be softer and more tender. The complimentary mini spring rolls were served piping hot, so much so that they could burn your mouth. Dipped in sweet and sour sauce, they were quite satisfying.
