#summervacay I just had a fantastic time simply wandering the streets of Hong Kong! I loved the relaxed pace, just eating and exploring as I went. It was interesting to notice that people's Mandarin has improved – "gam sai lei" (咁犀利) indeed! And it was wonderful that my own Cantonese DNA got a little jolt, even if I know I'll probably forget it as soon as I leave. That feeling of connection to the local culture, even briefly, is truly special. My hope for Hong Kong's future is so heartfelt, and it's clear the city holds a deep emotional significance for me – every time I hear "Pearl of the Orient," it brings tears to my eyes.
