MSC World Europa | Mediterranean Cruise Experience

📅 Cruise Dates: October 28 – November 4, 2024 🗺️ Route: Naples – Messina – Valletta – Barcelona – Marseille – Genoa – Rome The winter in the UK is truly depressing… With early sunsets and freezing temperatures, London was already down to 3°C 🥶 before we left. Taking a holiday to escape the British cold and soak up the sun in Southern Europe was such a smart move! I absolutely love the Mediterranean sunshine ☀️🌊 🇪🇺 Why choose this route? Cruise options departing from the UK are limited, but there are far more choices when starting from mainland Europe. We flew from London to Naples, Italy to board the ship, covering four countries in total: Italy 🇮🇹, France 🇫🇷, Spain 🇪🇸, and Malta 🇲🇹. Even though it was late October, the Mediterranean coastal temperatures still felt like 23–27°C, with bright sunshine and a very comfortable atmosphere! ⛱️ Cruises are perfect for the laid-back traveler No need to constantly pack and unpack luggage, no need to plan transportation. Every morning, you wake up in a new city and can decide whether to explore or stay onboard. It’s ideal for those who want a relaxed trip while visiting multiple countries! 👗 Evening vibes onboard Most passengers dress up for dinner in the evenings, with themes like traditional attire, white outfits, vacation styles, etc. Many elderly couples show up looking impeccably polished ✨ Of course, you can also keep it casual like us—Dress Code isn’t mandatory. 🎭 Nightly entertainment Every evening, there are different performances onboard: singing, dancing, magic, acrobatics, and more. Seats need to be reserved in advance via the app, and I highly recommend not missing out! On days you don’t feel like disembarking, you can enjoy swimming, spa treatments, or relaxing at the bar onboard. 📶 About internet access It’s better to purchase an internet package in advance, as it’s much cheaper than buying onboard. The newer the cruise ship, the better the internet quality. If you don’t buy internet, your phone will likely have no signal until the ship docks each day, so be prepared to go without. 🍽️ Dining tips Many people say the free buffet has repetitive dishes daily, but actually, depending on the country the ship is docked at, there are sometimes special local dishes. Personally, I found the fruits and yogurts to be excellent, and we almost always went for a second round of late-night snacks after dinner 😆 If you’re particular about food, there are paid restaurants onboard with great flavors and ambiance. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! This is an ideal route for those who don’t like planning but want to tick off multiple countries in one trip. Sunshine, stunning views, delicious food, and a relaxed pace—all in one package!
