Holiday Trip to the Millennium Porcelain Capital: A Two-Day Guide to Jingdezhen

Jingdezhen truly lives up to its reputation as the Millennium Porcelain Capital! The entire city is filled with ceramic elements. During a short visit to a friend, I spent two days exploring Jingdezhen and compiled this two-day itinerary guide. Due to limited time, I couldn't visit many places, and skipped farther destinations like Yaoli Ancient Town, focusing mainly on the downtown area. 【Hotel Recommendations】 We stayed near Taoxichuan, which is a central location and convenient for visiting various attractions. Recommended: Zhenyue Hotel. It was a pleasant stay and reasonably priced. 【Transportation】 We traveled by high-speed rail to Jingdezhen North Station. For the entire trip, we relied on taxis for transportation. Except for popular spots like Taoxichuan, we didn’t encounter any traffic congestion. 【Attractions】 ① China Ceramic Museum: Start your trip here to learn about the history of ceramics and check out the popular "Silent Buddha" series. ② Sculpture Ceramic Factory: A great place to explore during the day, with many exquisite and creatively designed ceramic shops and stalls. ③ Taoyangli: Personally, I think it’s optional, but the Instagram-worthy ceramic frame shot of Longzhu Pavilion is stunning. ④ Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Street: Best visited in the evening. The ceramics here are of high quality but relatively expensive. ⑤ Sanbao Village: Features many popular photo spots and ceramic studios. 【Suggested Itinerary】 Day 1: China Ceramic Museum → Taoyangli Scenic Area (including Imperial Kiln Museum) → Fuzhou Alley Day 2: Sanbao Village → Sculpture Ceramic Factory → Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Street 【Food Recommendations】 I tried popular spots like "Home for Dinner," "Lele Food Stall," and "Xiaoliang Garden." The food was quite good, but very spicy! Local snacks like fried dough sticks stuffed with sesame paste and cold noodles are worth trying—they’re quite tasty. A two-day trip feels a bit rushed. If you have more time, I think a three-day itinerary would make for a more relaxed journey. Whether it’s the ceramic culture or the artistic and creative atmosphere, Jingdezhen left a great impression on me. Highly recommended for a visit!
