The Prajna Temple was first built in 833 AD, more than 1,000 years ago. The original pagoda was a golden pagoda, and four relics of the Buddha were enshrined at the base of the pagoda. The most recent reconstruction was in 2014. The temple is not large, but every year a large number of believers come to worship and visit. This Theravada Buddhist temple, which combines Dai tradition and Southeast Asian style, is like a bright pearl in the suburbs of Jinghong. The silver-white pagoda towers into the clouds, with its spire pointing straight to the sky, guarding the faith and tranquility of a thousand years.
