Wufengxi Ancient Town, named after Wufeng Town, is located on the banks of the Tuo River in the middle section of the Longquan Mountain Range, within Jintang County of Chengdu, 48 kilometers from Chengdu. The town is named for the five prominent peaks that rise steeply from north to south to east, resembling soaring phoenixes when viewed from afar. The five ancient streets are also named after the phoenixes: Jinfeng, Qingfeng, Yufeng, Baifeng, and Xiaofeng. By the mid-Qing Dynasty, Wufengxi Ancient Town had already become the number one water port in Western Sichuan, with a profound culture of trade and immigration. Along with the tide of immigrants, the essence of culture and artistic wisdom converged and elevated in this small town, leading to the integration of guild culture, Hakka culture, religious culture, and Western Sichuan culture, presenting a pattern of diversified development.
