It’s located at the Houdefu Soup Dumpling & Noodle Shop next to Hanshin Department Store in Kaohsiung. I was shocked by the long queues when I arrived. Today is Sunday and there are so many people in the evening. There were about ten groups of customers in front of me, so I went to the Ziqiang Night Market next door first and bought some white sugar cakes and hot dog burgers to whet my appetite! When it was our turn, the waiter helped us to our seat. The space was a bit cramped which was a minor drawback. I ordered the red oil wonton noodles and soup dumplings that my friend highly recommended, and then I wanted to try their hot and sour noodles. Let’s talk about the red oil wonton noodles first. You can feel its skill after taking the first bite. The super delicious wonton texture and soft and chewy thick noodles are very delicious! The spicy level is especially moderate, with a slightly sweet taste that is perfectly combined with the chili oil. This red oil wonton is definitely a must-order item next time you come! The soup dumplings were also a little amazing, the soup burst in your mouth, the slightly sweet and salty taste was very tasty! The hot and sour noodles were just average. My personal recommendation is the red oil wonton noodles, a must-order if you come to this restaurant! In the self-service area, you can get shredded ginger with bean paste, which is very suitable for soup dumplings. There is also black tea and soy milk for you to help yourself!
