Kinmen Island, sacrificed by history

It was my first time to go to Kinmen. It really retains many streets and buildings from the 1970s and 1980s. When I took a boat from Xiamen, I was happy to meet a compatriot from Selangor, Malaysia. It was not their first time to go to Kinmen, but it was their first time to take a boat from Xiamen to Kinmen. The visa-free policy was really convenient. The transportation in Kinmen is not very convenient. You have to hire a car if you want to travel independently because there is no Didi app. It is very expensive to call a taxi (there is no charge standard based on the terminal, and you have to negotiate a price with the driver). It is very annoying. The bus only runs every two hours or one hour. It is really inconvenient. Kinmen really retains many old historical buildings. These are all sacrificed for development in the fifty years of confrontation between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. What a pity!
