Koh Kham, Trat (Emerald Pearl of Trat Sea) Every time we type Koh Kham in Google, Sattahip will pop up first. But this is not Sattahip. It is a different place. Koh Kham has a sandy beach or sandbar that stretches 300 meters into the sea and has volcanic rocks lined up. Geologists have assumed that this area used to be a volcanic crater hundreds of millions of years ago, but it has stopped erupting. Koh Kham is located between Koh Chang, Koh Kood and Koh Mak (Koh Mak is the closest to Koh Kham, about 1 kilometer). You can actually kayak there, but don't do it, it is extremely hot. However, if you like adventure, you can try it. It takes quite a while. How to get there depends on which island you are staying at. Most of the time, you will start from Koh Chang, go down to Koh Mak and Koh Kham and Koh Kood without going ashore. You can only use a speedboat. However, this time I chose to stay at Koh Mak and took a local boat for 300 baht/person (you can exchange for 1 bottle or can of water or soft drink). There are no accommodations on Koh Mak.
