Guandu Fading Temple

Guandu Fading Temple: Exclusively belonging to the spring city of Kunming, the flower-filled and Zen-inspired Fading Temple is located in the Guandu Ancient Town of Guandu District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It was built by the Gao family of the Dali Kingdom and is the place where the Esoteric Buddhism rose in Guandu. Historically, the site of Guandu was a place where conch fossils accumulated, and the Fading Temple, with its dense woods, is known as 'Luo Peak Stacked Greenery', making it one of Guandu's scenic spots. The Fading Temple is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. The existing buildings were mostly built during the Qing Dynasty's Guangxu reign, but the main hall with its steeply pitched eaves has a certain Song Dynasty charm, leaving a deep impression on visitors. The temple is filled with blooming flowers, enhancing the Zen atmosphere, and it is highly recommended for everyone to come and visit.
