My first stop was Huangguoshu Waterfall, China’s largest waterfall, where the powerful cascade thundered down into the emerald pool below. Walking behind the Water Curtain Cave, I felt the mist on my face as the roaring water echoed all around. Next, I ventured to Qianhu Miao Village, the world’s largest Miao ethnic settlement. The hillside was adorned with thousands of traditional stilted wooden houses, their rooftops creating a stunning layered effect. As night fell, the village glowed with golden lights, and the sound of Lusheng music and Miao folk songs filled the air. Finally, I ascended Fanjing Mountain, a sacred Buddhist site with surreal rock formations and misty peaks. Climbing to the Red Cloud Golden Summit, I stood above the sea of clouds, taking in the breathtaking panoramic views of one of China’s most mystical landscapes. From thundering waterfalls to ancient villages and sacred peaks, this Guizhou transit turned into an unforgettable adventure.
