Day Trip to McLaren Vale: Art, Wine & Coastal Vibes

Another stunning day trip—this time to the McLaren Vale wine region, just under an hour from Adelaide. We kicked things off at Tin Shed Café, where we fuelled up with amazing coffee and one of the best woodfired pizzas I’ve had in a while—crispy base, perfect flavours. Then it was off to d’Arenberg Cube, the iconic five-storey building that’s equal parts surreal art and serious wine. We spent nearly an hour immersed in the Salvador Dalí exhibition—surprising, quirky, and very cool. After that, we headed up to Level 4 for a relaxed wine tasting with stunning vineyard views. To wrap it all up, we took the scenic coastal drive back to Adelaide. Rolling hills on one side, ocean on the other—absolutely worth it.
