#malaccatrip Swiss-Garden Hotel, Melaka 3 Days 2 Nights Check-in: 19/12/24 Check-out: 21/12/24 Room Type: Deluxe Twin Room [River View] Price: RM365.00/night including breakfast (booked via Trip.com) Check-in: Rating: 5/5 We parked right in front of the hotel lobby and proceeded straight to check-in. No deposit was required since we had already paid in full. We arrived at 3 PM and were able to enter our room immediately. The check-in process took less than 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Room: Rating: 5/5 We booked a room facing Kampung Morten and the Melaka River — it was really enjoyable to watch the boats cruising by. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, TV (with plenty of channels), mini fridge, iron, work desk, glass-panel balcony, and a bathtub. Free unlimited WiFi was provided. We also requested a complimentary birthday cake, which was delivered to the room after check-in. Parking: Rating: 4/5 The hotel has multi-level parking shared with the mall below. Hotel parking is on levels 7 and 8, and it’s free with unlimited entry and exit. Entry/exit was smooth as it uses a number plate recognition system. However, being on higher levels can make getting in and out slightly time-consuming. Parking is always available though. Bathroom: Rating: 5/5 The bathroom was very clean and had a comfortable shower. There’s also an adult-sized bathtub with both hot and cold water. The bathroom has been upgraded for full privacy from the bedroom. Toiletries provided were sufficient. Housekeeping came on the second morning to change towels and bedsheets. Breakfast: Rating: 5/5 There was a wide variety of food including nasi lemak, ayam masak merah, fried noodles, stir-fried vegetables, Nyonya curry, dim sum, muesli, assorted bread, fresh brewed coffee, roti canai, and more. Everything suited our tastes. The dining area was spacious and convenient to access the buffet. Pool: Rating: 5/5 One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it has both adult and kids’ pools, with slides and more. The pool is quite large despite being shared with The Shore Residence. It’s located on the 9th floor. For more privacy, guests of Swiss Garden can use the exclusive infinity pool on the same floor. There is a security guard present, though no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is allowed until 7 PM. A sauna room is also available. Lift: Rating: 5/5 Swiss Garden is equipped with 6 lifts — 2 for the carpark and 4 for the hotel. Lift usage was smooth. If it's crowded, you can go down to level G from the parking levels (7 or 8) and switch to the hotel lift to go up to your room. Tip: Use the lift labeled ‘keycard access only’ to go directly to your room floor from the carpark without switching lifts. Facilities: Rating: 5/5 Next to the reception, there’s direct access to The Shore Mall. Facilities include an ATM, Mr. DIY, KFC, Seoul Garden, and Chef Wan Cafe. Speedmart is located in the building opposite the mall (within walking distance). Nearby Attractions (within 8km): Menara Taming Sari, River Cruise, Nasi Lemak Istimewa Kg Morten, Cendol Kg Hulu, Maritime Museum, Jonker Street, A Famosa Fortress, souvenir shops, eateries, etc. Overall: I’m very satisfied with our stay, and if given the chance, I would definitely return!
