If you’re up for hiking, be sure to visit #taishan (aka Mount Tai) in #shandong province. Located roughly halfway between Beijing and Shanghai on the high speed train, a climb to the peak of Taishan makes for the perfect day trip. Once you make it to the top, there are tons of restaurants and shops to rest at. If you don’t feel like walking all the way back down to the bottom, there’s a cable car to take you there. But heads up: it will close if the weather is bad. We learned that the hard way - and climbing down the mountain in the pouring rain was an experience to say the least! #wintergetaway
