This weekend, I went to Lishui with two of my best friends and our kids. We stayed at a homestay near Shijiu Lake. It was even more beautiful than I expected, and I was surprised to find that migratory birds from Siberia have already started to arrive at Shijiu Lake for the winter. If you like nature, the outdoors, and birdwatching, you should definitely check it out. ✅ 📍Jiu Zheli Lakeside Homestay (No. 520, Luoshan Village, Hefeng Town, Lishui) 🚙 Transportation: Drive. There is plenty of parking in front of the homestay. ⭐️ Best time to visit: Summer and fall (In summer, the lake looks like the sea. In fall and winter, you can see migratory birds from Siberia. Many swans are expected to arrive at the end of this month and next month, so don't miss it.) 🏡 Since there were three adults and three kids, we booked the "Da Hong Pao" family suite. The room is about 100 square meters. The first floor has a living room, bar, balcony, master bedroom, and a large bathroom. The second floor has two 1.2-meter beds (which can be combined) and a family reading area. The third floor has a small terrace. 🌈 Things to do with kids 🔹 Relax at the homestay. The homestay has two adorable dogs. Pomegranate is a lively and enthusiastic "little girl." We took her for a walk, and she was very strong, but she was very cooperative when we took photos. She was so cute. If you come in summer, kids can swim in the homestay pool. 🏊 🔹 Shijiu Lake is right outside the homestay. During the wet season, it looks like the sea. Although the water has receded a lot, migratory birds have started to return. We saw egrets (not many) and spoon-billed sandpipers (my daughter was sure 😂). At sunset, we watched the birds foraging and flying over the wetlands. It was like a scene from a poem.
