Warm time in the rain and fog: Jinshanyuan Coffee

When I woke up early on Saturday morning, it was raining heavily outside the window. My son’s originally planned basketball class had to be cancelled. There was no place to exercise on a rainy day, so I simply went up the mountain to enjoy nature. We came to our favorite shop, a treasure coffee shop hidden between Yangmingshan and Jinshan - Ape Coffee. Ape Cafe is near the Tianlai Hot Spring Hotel and is not difficult to find. We are already regular customers and are familiar with the boss. As soon as we arrived at the parking lot in front of the store, my husband said, "Hey, the boss didn't come today. I didn't see his JIMNY!" Yes, in order to allow customers who drive up the mountain to enjoy the coffee and beautiful scenery, the boss simply bought a piece of vacant land in front of the store as a parking lot last year. How thoughtful! Pushing open the wooden door, the warm light and aroma of coffee greet you, instantly dispelling the chill of the rainy day. My husband skillfully ordered an iced Americano, and I chose the store's signature Ape Cafe Latte. My son excitedly pointed at the beef bowl set with his eyes shining. The cafe's decoration is mainly wood, with large glass windows and ceilings, as well as green plants, creating a natural and comfortable atmosphere. I feel it is so beautiful every time I come here😍We chose a four-person seat by the window, but in fact almost every seat in the store is by the window. It is a unique experience to enjoy the mountain view in the rain through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The coffee and meals were served quickly. In addition to the beef bowl, we also ordered curry siomai, crab roe siomai, and the store’s signature dish, shrimp steamed dumplings. It is filled with big shrimps, fresh and delicious 😋, which makes you salivate. The beef bowl set consists of tender beef slices spread over hot white rice, topped with a salty and sweet sauce, a hot spring egg, three side dishes and a cup of hot Japanese green tea. My husband ate with gusto, and even my son, who is usually a picky eater, took a few bites. The rain was dripping, and our family of three was quietly enjoying this rare leisure time. While my husband and son were playing with their laptops, I picked up my phone to record this wonderful moment. Unfortunately, due to the rain today, the outdoor seating was not open.
