Walking through the University of Delaware

On the morning of August 21, 2024, I strolled through Newark, Delaware, and walked along South College Ave to Newark Train Station. From north to south, I saw the beautiful campus of the University of Delaware, so I walked through it. The Georgian-style old houses from the North American colonial era were very eye-catching. There is a long green space called "The Green" on the central axis of the main campus of the University of Delaware. The school buildings built in different periods are arranged in an orderly manner on the east and west sides, all facing this green belt. The place I walked through today used to be a women's college. According to the introduction, in 1920, one of the first female landscape designers in the United States, Marian Cruger Coffin, designed this southern lawn for the university. After connecting with the northern lawn starting from the south side of the main street, it formed "The Green" that extends south to Park Place. When I returned from the train station, I simply walked through the campus again. There is an introduction in front of each building. The DuPont family has made many contributions to the university. Some areas of the university are under construction. I took the opportunity to recognize the buildings against the construction drawings. After leaving the school, I returned to the New London community. The graffiti outside the record store "Wonderland Records" on the street corner had a different flavor.
