Urata Beach

One of Japan's 88 best swimming beaches. Located at the northern tip of Tanegashima, this beach has dazzlingly beautiful white sand dunes at the back of a cove, and the water is exceptionally clear. Fishing and scuba diving are also available, and there is also a campsite where you can enjoy a variety of activities. There is also a general information center called Seaside House, which is fully equipped with functional and easy-to-use facilities such as an administration building, showers, toilets, an observation deck, and a rest area, so you can spend a comfortable time here.
