Knebworth House & Gardens

Amazing day out close to London, book online for £19/adult ticket (£20 at entrance), £4 guide book online (£4.50 at the gift shop). The guide book features plenty useful info about the house and the history of the Lytton family (the 19th generation of the family now lives in a part of the house which cannot be visited). The gardens at Knebworth is the home of the largest natural amphitheatre in the UK, a perfect place to host concerts, actually in 1996 Robbie Williams and Moby held a concert over 3 days that attracted 375.000 people in total. Queen held their last concert here as well. Inside the house there’s a little room with photos of all the singers that performed on the stage here, an amazing day out with the family. Tea room with giant scone and jam (apricot or strawberry choice) and a hot beverage (tea/coffe/hot chocolate) for £6.50, a variety of sandwiches available, salads and soft drinks, too. The gardens feature a dinosaur garden as well with 72 dinosaurs in real-life size scattered around, nice for kids to discover different species that once roamed the planet.
