Tham Lod, Pang Mapha District

Tham Lod or Tham Nam Lod is located in Pang Mapha District, Mae Hong Son Province. It is a cave with a river flowing through the middle, through the front and back. There are beautiful stalactites and stalagmites created by nature. We have to walk in by contacting the staff at the front at the tourist service point and booking a lantern, bamboo raft, and local guide to lead us into the cave. We have to walk in first. When we reach the cave, there are 3 large chambers for us to visit. The first chamber is Tham Sao Hin, which we walked into continuously from the entrance. The walking path is quite steep, so we have to be extra careful. Along the cave exploration path, we will then take a bamboo raft in. At this point, it will start to get dark, but we have lanterns from the local guide, flashes from our mobile phones, or flashlights that we have brought with us to look along the way. The second chamber and cave is Tham Tukkata. The way up will be stairs like the last cave, Tham Phi Man. The stairs are very steep, so we have to be extra careful. The first chamber is considered an unseen, very interesting tourist attraction in Mae Hong Son Province.
