Brach Hotel, Paris|Brach Paris Brach Paris is Evok Hotels, an emerging French hotel group Collection’s second boutique-style hotel in Paris, created by renowned designer Philippe Starck, has created an avant-garde design in the form of a massive greenhouse inspired by the modernist architectural style of the 1930s. Bringing fashion, high end and urbanity to the traditional 16th arrondissement of Paris. The 16th arrondissement of Paris is a place of life and a place of inheritance. In the 1970s, the building Brach Paris was located in was a huge postal sorting center. At first Brach’s vast glass exterior seemed out of place in the surroundings of Osmanes. Starck softens the sharp edges of the hotel with its lush greenery by emanating soft foliage from a series of terrace gardens, greenery spiraling down along the hotel’s entrance and streetside courtyard. Brach Paris allows creator Philippe Starck’s imagination to fly freely. Combines the modernism of the architecture of the 1930s with the Bauhaus, Dadaism and surrealism. Natural raw materials such as metal, glass, wood, leather and concrete are ubiquitous, uncovering poetic mysteries, with unusual objects and a selection of artwork creating a warm and eclectic atmosphere. Brach Paris is warmly open and the lobby on the first floor is a truly artistic space. Totems, sculpture and poetry come alive in the space, and on the ceiling is an original painting by artist Philippe Starck’s daughter, Ara Starck, who Ara sees the mural as a kind of surrealist poetry that collides with each other on the canvas in painterly rhymes, forming a single loop.
