White Temple in Pattaya - No Need to Go to Chiang Mai

Buddhist temple - one of the most ancient in Pattaya - Wat Nong Yai. It has a wonderful foundation story - it is said that sometime during the Ayutthaya period, a wandering monk named Chao Khum Ai fled from Burmese warriors to Naklua, and it was there that he founded the temple. He took an ancient bell with him. That's why bells hang all over the temple under the roof, shimmering and ringing in the wind. Inside the temple, where we were not allowed, the very bell is kept. And at 5 p.m. in the evening, the local bell tower rings the bell, and dogs sing along melodically.
