Walking along the path of the sun: A visit to the Hujing Tropic of Cancer Monument

This monument is not only an important geographical symbol, but also symbolizes the intersection of nature and humanity. During my short stay, I gained deep reflection and was moved. The Tropic of Cancer is the northernmost line where the sun directly shines on the earth's surface on the summer solstice, and Hujing Island is located exactly on this mysterious line. When I stood in front of the monument and looked at the white stone tablet representing the Tropic of Cancer, I felt a wonderful feeling in my heart - as if I was standing on an "invisible dividing line" in nature, with some invisible connection with other parts of the world. The environment of Hujing is quiet and simple. The monument is located on a high point on the island, with a wide view and the sea and sky line clearly visible in the distance. The gentle sea breeze and shining sunshine make people slow down their pace unconsciously and quietly feel the geographical and cultural significance carried by this latitude. Although this is not a popular tourist attraction, it is precisely because of this that people can immerse themselves in it and savor the journey. Visiting the Hujing Tropic of Cancer Monument not only made me better understand the natural operation of the earth, but also reminded me to pay more attention to the seemingly ordinary but meaningful things around me in my daily life. This short stop was a quiet and profound moment in my journey, and it also gave me a deeper understanding of the natural and cultural beauty of Penghu.
