JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa
Staying at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa at Phu Quoc Emerald Bay was an unforgettable experience. The resort was not just a place to stay, but a luxurious and delightful sanctuary that embraced sophistication and beauty. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, offering stunning views of the Pacific and the golden sandy beaches. The customer service was excellent,
The staff were very kind and helpful in meeting all my needs. I enjoyed a great dining experience at the various restaurants within the resort, and the relaxation experience at the luxury spa was amazing. Overall, staying at the Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay was a special and perfect experience, and I look forward to visiting again.
Vietnam Visa-Free Island - Phu Quoc Island~ For a vacation, you definitely shouldn't miss these three stunning luxury hotels!
Phu Quoc Island is the largest island in Vietnam, located in the southwestern part of Vietnam, in the eastern part of the Gulf of Thailand, and is about the same size as Singapore. It is the only visa-free area in Vietnam. As a relatively niche island destination in Southeast Asia, Phu Quoc Island is a great choice, and many direct flights have been resumed domestically! Today, I'm going to share three gorgeous luxury hotels on Phu Quoc Island that you shouldn't miss when traveling and vacationing!
👍Highly recommended:
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa Average price 1700-3500, the environment, service, and landscape are all very good! This hotel, known as the most beautiful JW Marriott in the world, with its bright colors and romantic style, is super suitable for a couple's vacation~ Especially don't miss the classic turquoise suite, which is also the most beautiful suite in the hotel in my opinion~ I stayed in the turquoise suite located in the Art Department building, so there are many paintings from the corridor to the interior~ The color scheme inside the room is beautiful and upscale! The reason why JW Marriott Phu Quoc is so beautiful and legendary is because of its very unique design concept: its design is based on an academy, compiling a school history that dates back to its founding in 1889, spanning over 130 years~ And the entire hotel is like a fantasy university! This might be unique in the entire hotel industry! Moreover, all the restaurants, bars, SPAs... the buildings are brightly colored and very beautiful! Staying at JW Marriott Phu Quoc~ you step into a fantasy university created by Bill Bensley with a school history of over 130 years! All the buildings of the hotel are named after different departments: Department of Biology, Department of Agriculture, Department of Art, Bird Research Center, Department of Architecture, Entomology Institute, Astronomy Department, Marine Biology Department... It's just too interesting and creative!
👍Highly recommended:
InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort Average price 1400-2000, the environment, service, and landscape are all good! InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is located on the west coast of the southern part of Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, with a beautiful sunset view, and unlike most low-rise buildings of resorts on Phu Quoc Island~ Long Beach InterContinental Resort has a high-rise building called Sky Tower, which is definitely a very prominent landmark in the Long Beach area. The hotel's main building has a rooftop octopus-style sky bar with a great view! The room design is very oriental~ because most of the rooms have a diagonal sea-view design, making the room shape irregular~ which allows for more design possibilities, and it's also a room type I like! The main tone of the room is wood ash color, complemented by sea blue and sand yellow, which are the most common colors seen at seaside resorts. Booking a suite directly with this InterContinental is the best choice! The sea view suite at the forefront has a very large sea-view terrace~ with a great view! The highlight of the interior is the bathroom part, with a large round scenic bathtub facing the sea, which also increases the vacation vibe~ and the suite includes executive lounge privileges, with a lounge vacation experience with a private pool that is too good!
👍Highly recommended:
Regent Phu Quoc Average price 2700-3800, the environment, service, design, and landscape are all great! The all-suite Regent Phu Quoc is the first resort of the Regent brand in Southeast Asia, and also a brand-new hotel built by the InterContinental Group after acquiring Regent, with a very beautiful overall design! I have stayed in a Sky Pool Villa, which is a sky pool suite~ The pool is quite large, and the entire balcony has a lot of space for activities~ There is also a double sofa bed for resting, with a superb view! In terms of room decoration, Regent Phu Quoc has a fresh and elegant style~ The overall color tone is soft, and it corresponds with Vietnam's traditional aesthetics and contemporary interior design style. The rich minibar is all free and is updated daily~ The bath products are my favorite Acqua di Parma, and there's also Marvis toothpaste, the overall configuration is high-class~ The bathrobe with Vietnamese traditional cultural design is a highlight~ The hotel's tenth-floor rooftop has a sky pool, bar, and Club, the design and decoration of the public area, Regent Phu Quoc has a fresh and elegant style~ The overall color tone is soft, and it corresponds with Vietnam's traditional aesthetics and contemporary interior design style, the overall class is very online~ The rooftop sky pool and bar at sunset are, of course, great places to watch the sunset, enjoy the scenery and wine! The hotel's restaurant Rice Market mainly serves Vietnamese food, it's been a long time since I had a baguette sandwich, and I found the familiar taste here again~ and the classic Vietnamese pho~ We also really like it! The restaurant has also innovated a lot of Vietnamese flavors, and dining here you can also enjoy the exquisite cooking performance in the open kitchen, very good!
5 Things to Know Before Going to Phu Quoc Island, Indulge in the Ice Cream Sea during the Spring Festival
Recommended reason:
If Sanya is too expensive and Thailand is too crowded, you can really try Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam.
🛬🛬🛬Visa-free, you can go straight ahead
As the only visa-free place in Vietnam, Phu Quoc Island allows us to take our passports and go on a winter trip.
💵Cash must be brought
People may be used to Thailand, even if they don't bring cash, they can directly use Alipay; but in Vietnam, you must bring cash and an international card, not because of customs inspection, but because Vietnam is relatively backward in electronic payment, far less mature than Thailand. So it's safer to bring cash.
📲Phone card
If you can buy a card in advance or open international roaming at home, it's best. If you go to the airport to buy alcohol, it's very expensive, 15 US dollars for 7 days, but it's not worth it for only 7G.
🌊Entertainment:
Actually, the theme of Phu Quoc Island is hotels and sea views, because the cultural tourism development of Phu Quoc Island is not sufficient, there are basically no highlights and cultural customs. Therefore, one hotel is built bigger and more luxurious than the other, which becomes the highlight.
The hotel I stayed in and will stay in the future is the JW Marriott on Phu Quoc Island, which I strongly recommend. I found that this is the first time I recommend a hotel so much (I haven't received any advertising fees yet)!
The hotel directly owns the beach, the boundless ice cream sea (as translated by the locals)
Then the hotel is so big that you can't play enough or take enough pictures in 3 days and 3 nights. The hotel has built itself into a university, with different rooms and facilities being different colleges, and each building of the hotel is a different dopamine color.
There are 3 swimming pools, you can swim freely in them, change back and forth; the pink restaurant makes you feel like you have traveled to the extravagant life of Vietnamese nobles during the French colonial period.
The most beautiful JW Marriott of the World
#freehotelstay
Nice trip with my Best friend Alan~ Edging the sand and surf of Khem Beach, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa is a luxury haven amid a stunning travel destination. What was once a 19th-century French university has been reimagined as an eclectically themed, lavish beachfront playground by renowned resort architect Bill Bensley. Set along a ribbon of beautiful shoreline in Phu Quoc, the resort welcomes you with luxury rooms and suites with private balconies, along with beautifully appointed villas, complete with sparkling plunge pools. Ignite your senses with a global range of gourmet cuisine at any of the five sophisticated restaurants and bars.

Plan your trip in advance, and contact the hotel you are staying in for a complimentary land transport service. You will need to email the hotel to inform them your arrival date and timing and most hotels provide free shuttle. Phu Quoc is a beautiful island and the weather can be extreme. It can be extremely wet during Monsoon season, and the best time to travel will be from March till October. The island is best known for their fine white sands and crystal clear sea water - Paradise for water activities such as 🤿 Snorkelling and Diving🤿. We went during the dry season in April, and thus we only needed wet suits and we proceed. Temperature was at 28 degree Celsius in the day and around 22 at night. It was more than comfortable!
Southern Part of Phu Quoc - 🚡Cable Car🚡 in Phu Quoc is a must try, bringing you across a few isolated island and it provides a Majestic view of crystal clear water. It takes around 18 minutes for a one way trip and the ticket will cost one around SGD 60 dollars that includes your entrance to Aquatopia Water Theme Park and a buffet Lunch. It's very worth trying for the ride and water park. The park is absolutely clean but it can get crowded during local holidays. There are more than 5 different kind of slides and a lazy river, very suitable for couples, friends, or even family. It's located on the southern part of Phu Quoc and you need to plan your itinerary well, otherwise you will waste some time traveling from North to South.
Northern part of Phu Quoc presents a more defined and lively area with stretches of shophouses filled with F&B, massage centers, salons, cafes, convenience stores, and home stays. Phu Quoc Corona Casino is located just beside Radisson Blu hotel and in order to enter the casino you will need to create a membership with them using your passport and all games are charged in Vietnamese Dong. There is then a Safari just 15 min away from and it’s is one of a kind. All cars are electric bringing you roaming in an electric bus entering the living spaces of the wild animals like Asian Black Bears, Asian Tigers, Lions, and even giant sized crocodile!

2023 Spring Break Wealthy Nation Tour Day 2
Because relaxation is the main focus, the itinerary is arranged at one's own comfortable pace. The next day, after having beef noodles at the hotel for breakfast, the sightseeing begins.
As mentioned earlier, the hotel where we stayed was very close to the cable car station, so we walked to the boarding point. The earliest time to board was 9:30 in the morning, and we could take a stroll around the area. The boarding point was located inside a small market (as we all know, tourist attractions sell the same things). Moreover, it was during the Spring Festival holiday, so there was a live passionate dance show (male-male Latin) around 9 o'clock.
The cable car of Fragrant Hills Island in Fuguo is said to be the longest cross-sea cable car in the world, with no stops along the way. You can enjoy the beautiful fish village, fishing boats docked on the coast, and the tranquil sea from high in the sky. So if you come to Fuguo, you must take a ride.
The last stop of the cable car is on Xiang Island, where there is an amusement park mainly featuring water activities. Friends who like playing in the water can have fun, while those who don't want to get wet can sit in a cool place like me and enjoy watching handsome guys and beautiful girls in cool clothes. There are also roller coasters, bungee jumping, rotating windows and other projects on the island. Those who like excitement can experience it for free. (I bought a pass that includes the cost of the projects in the amusement park, which is 600,000 Vietnamese dong, equivalent to 180 yuan in RMB.)
The cable car ticket includes round trip. You can choose your return time in Xiangdao. I returned at 3:00 pm and walked back to the hotel to freshen up (it was really hot). In the evening, I watched a light show nearby (the ticket was 200,000 Vietnamese dong, and I bought a VIP ticket for 250,000, which was actually just a better location in the middle of the screen). After the show, I was very hungry and ordered a seafood porridge, grilled squid, and a cocktail at a restaurant by the sea. Listening to the sound of the waves and feeling the sea breeze was very comfortable (the seafood porridge was too big and I couldn't finish it).
The above is my account of the second day. If you don't want to read it all, you can enjoy some beautiful photos.

Grand World Phu Quoc Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
don’t come to phu quoc island during rainy season … ☔️🌧️🧸
Since it was sunny in the morning, and the island provides free electric bus services across the entire island, we decided to visit Grand World.
When we were on the bus, reality hits us as it started pouring rain… We thought the rain would be on and off because of the tropical weather but we were wrong loll, it only stopped raining during the evening…
Long story short, as you can tell from the picture, we explored Grand World in heavy pouring rain and got all drenched hahaha
We spent the most time at the teddy bear museum since it is indoor. But I couldn’t really complain because the teddies are so cute!!!

Phu Quoc | best beach on the island
When searching for the best spots in Phu Quoc, a small island of Vietnam, the first beach that pops up is Sao Beach. It has beautiful white soft sand and tall palm trees all along which gives the best tropical vibes🌴
We decided to spend an afternoon there by the beach. It is towards the south of the island and it takes more than a 30 minutes ride to go from city centre near the airport. There is a restaurant beside the beach called Paradiso (they even called themselves beach club😂) and we therefore had lunch before chilling on the beach. There are water activities and sports to try if you walk further to the right side so see if you are interested!
It is beautiful and but not as clean as what we expected. The waves brought trash to the shore of the white sand beach and it’s just unpleasant and sad to see. What’s more, the locals there decided to push the trash back to the ocean which is super mind-blowing to see. I had no idea what they were doing but I just wish it could go back to be a clean beach soon.
📍Sao Beach, Phu Quoc, Vietnam
#vietnan #Phuquoc #awesomepic
magical and mysterious beach
Welcome to Sao Beach…. this beach is located in a more secluded and welcoming area of Phu Quac Island. The westerly winds were strong that day as they cascaded across the ocean and west through the large palm trees that line this soft sandy beach. There are many restaurants located along the beachfront and you have the option to sit and sip a cocktail as the wind races through your hair and nurture is your soul.#2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #beachlife

Sao Beach - Phu Quoc, Vietnam
In the southeast of Phu Quoc Island, 27 km from its capital Duong Dong, there is one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Vietnam - Bai Sao. White sand, palm trees along the entire coast and warm, calm sea attract tourists from all over the world.
This beach is far from the main infrastructure, so there is no hotels on the beach. Only a few km from the sea there are several hotels with bungalows. There are two restaurants on the coast. Sun loungers available for a small fee.
Only minibuses go from the center of the island to the village. Then you have another 20-30 min to walk to the coast. You can get to Bai Sao by taxi or on your own by renting a car or bike.
