Quanzhou Travel Diary Guide

🏨 Accommodation: Huijin Holiday Hotel (a 1km walk to the back section of West Street. Highly recommend renting the little orange e-bikes downstairs—so fun!!!) The hotel is clean, spacious, and well-lit! We arrived by train around 12:30 PM, freshened up at the hotel, and headed out to eat~ ✅ Day 1 Itinerary: West Street - Kaiyuan Temple - Guanyue Temple - Qingjing Mosque - Chengtian Zen Temple - Tianhou Palace - If not tired, head straight to Zhongshan Street (Fuwen Temple) - End the night with drinks at the back-section bars of West Street by 10 PM. ✅ Day 2 Itinerary: Fujian-Taiwan Kinship Museum - Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum - Try the floral hairpin photoshoot. ✅ Day 3 Itinerary: Self-drive (Wulin Ancient Village in Jinjiang - Windmill Island for seaside views). Three days packed with fun! Even after returning to the hotel early each night, I’d head back to West Street around 8 or 9 PM (I adore lively, bustling places!). Day 1 food highlight: Sidan Ginger Duck!!!! Absolutely divine! I’d move to Quanzhou just for this dish, no joke. Also tried: fried oyster cakes, Tong’an fragrant chicken legs, Manjian cake, pickled fruits, Meichaofeng drinks, Brother Chun’s Teppanyaki, Childhood Memories Four-Fruit Soup, and Shuimen Guozai Rice Noodle Soup. Not a single miss for me!!! The highlight was Day 3’s self-drive trip. Since we were already there, we dedicated a day to seeing the sea. Despite the cloudy weather, Windmill Island was breathtaking!!!! No blue skies? No problem—the endless ocean view was mesmerizing. Standing under the windmills, lost in thought, made it my favorite day. Sure, it was a lot of driving, but isn’t the journey part of the adventure? We booked a fully charged car for the 25th, and cruising with our favorite tunes playing while catching the sunset on the way back? Pure magic. The rental guy was super efficient with the contract, and pickup/drop-off was seamless. I’d insist any friend visiting Quanzhou do this! Can’t wait to return to Quanzhou someday 💕
