Rishiri Airport in midwinter

Rishiri Island is located in what could be called the northernmost part of Japan. In the middle of winter, it becomes a place of frigid storms, and the island is closed off by snow, ice, and frigid weather. The gateway to the sky is Rishiri Airport.
