Samukawa Shrine

#FuriTabi Samukawa Shrine is a shrine located in Miyayama, Samukawa-cho, Koza-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is the Ichinomiya of Sagami Province. It is a Shikinaisha (shrine within the Imperial Court) and was formerly ranked as a Kokuhei-chusha (middle-ranking shrine). It is currently a beppyo shrine of the Association of Shinto Shrines. It is one of the famous shrines in the Kanto region, and attracts approximately 2 million visitors per year. It is the second most visited shrine in Kanagawa Prefecture for New Year's worship, after Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura City. Samukawa Shrine is located near the Sagami River in Kanagawa Prefecture, between Ebina and Chigasaki. The nearest station is Miyayama Station on the JR Sagami Line.
