I visited Hoheikyo Onsen in Jozankei, Sapporo, Japan. Located in a quiet town along the upper reaches of the Toyohira River in southwestern Sapporo, it is one of the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido. I took the photo in the morning when there was no one around. There are two pools in total. ♨️ Hot spring features: A hot spring town surrounded by nature and full of Japanese style. The air in the forest 🌳, clean water, and the air is filled with floral and woody scents. The hot spring water comes from the volcanic rock layer 1,200 meters underground. It is colorless, transparent, and slightly salty. It is rich in minerals and is said to be effective for joint pain, neuralgia, etc. ♨️ Hot spring experience: Soaking in the hot spring, you can feel the warm spring water wrapping your whole body, and every pore is breathing. It is very refreshing and comfortable, and not cold at all. ♨️ Summary tips: Jozankei is definitely one of the most comfortable hot springs in Hokkaido. I have been living in Hokkaido for three years. From being afraid of traveling at the beginning to now being completely trouble-free, I have compiled some winter travel tips for you💯, suitable for friends who are traveling to Hokkaido for the first time. Suggestion 1️⃣. The most essential difference between Hokkaido and Harbin is actually the snow quality and experience. Hokkaido often snows heavily but the temperature is not cold. Unlike the Northeast where the temperature is tens of degrees below zero, it is bone-chilling, especially in the snow town in winter. It is really better to take a private bath in a hot spring hotel in Hokkaido♨️... Families who are afraid of the cold and traveling with children 🧑‍🍼 recommend going to Hokkaido to see the snow. Suggestion 2️⃣. The first stop for Hokkaido travel is Sapporo. You can stay wherever you go during the itinerary. It is not recommended to stay in Sapporo all the time. It is like if you come to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai for a week, live in Shanghai, and travel between Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changnanjing and Hangzhou Ningbo every day, half of it Time is wasted commuting. It's my first time at the Snow Festival, and it turns out to be a bit cute. Among all the snow sculptures, I still love Miffy the most. If you want to see the night view in Sapporo, I recommend the JR Tower Observatory! The cityscape from the observatory is especially beautiful when the lights are on at night 😵 There is also a cafe where you can enjoy drinks while taking in the night view. You have to cross a thick layer of snow, but there's a clear path made by people. Just follow the crowd! Otaru Route: Minami-Otaru Station ➡️ Music Box Museum ➡️ Otaru Shopping Street ➡️ Otaru Canal ➡️ Mt. Tengu (We skipped part of the route due to laziness. We took a taxi from Otaru Canal to Mt. This park stretches 1.5km from Odori Nishi 1-chome to Odori Nishi 12-chome in the center of Sapporo. It was built in 1871. The beautiful flower beds and lawns are very relaxing, even though it's in the city. It's a popular tourist spot in Sapporo, visited by many tourists as well as locals. It's also a popular event venue, and when I visited, the Sapporo Summer Festival was being held and a beer garden was being held. In winter, it is also one of the venues for the Sapporo Snow Festival.
