The theme of this lantern festival is 'Fish and Dragon Dance in One Night', which means that the 29th Yuyuan Lantern Festival has for the first time achieved cross-border lighting, and will unveil the mysterious veil of the Jia Chen Dragon Year Shanghai Yuyuan Lantern Festival. The Dragon Year Yuyuan Lantern Festival will inherit the chapter of the 'Mountain and Sea Wonders' of the Rabbit Year Lantern Festival, from mountain sutras to sea sutras, from land to sea, from myth to magic, from China to the world, and start the narration of the 'Sea Sutra'. At that time, when you come to Yuyuan Mall, there will be four major doors of blessing and purification leading the dragon to appear, and five major theme scenes will create the image of the deep sea and the river map, brilliantly presenting the magical species of the zodiac dragon and the vast ocean animal and plant kingdom. The exhibition period of the lantern festival is more than 40 days, specifically from mid to late January 2024 to the end of February (subject to the actual lighting time). The architectural lights will light up at 17:00 in the afternoon, and the fish lights will light up at 17:30 in the afternoon. The lantern festival is located between Yuyuan Yuebin Building and Yixiu Building, which is very convenient. You can get there by taking the subway line 10 and getting off at Yuyuan Road Station. At present, the tickets are free, but from February 10th, timed ticketing will be implemented, with adult tickets priced at 80 yuan and children's tickets at 50 yuan.
