Have you heard about the immersive exhibition in Shanghai? 👉🏻teamLab Borderless Shanghai Museum💙 It is the second borderless museum created by the teamLab art collective, originating from Tokyo and acclaimed as one of the 🌟top ten must-see exhibitions in the world🌟 The teamLab collective consists of 400 interdisciplinary specialists including artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects. Such a powerful team's work is a must-experience if you have the chance, and I suppose it's not a permanent exhibition, it might change later on🤔 The museum aims to give you a sense of 'wandering, exploring, and discovering,' so the entrances to each exhibition room are not particularly obvious, and you need to explore slowly. But after all, the exhibition ticket is more than 200 yuan, which is not cheap, so to get your money's worth, I have organized some strategies from my perspective for interested friends to refer to, try not to miss any exhibition rooms😜 🥸Pre-visit notes: 1️⃣About the cloakroom: Backpacks, water, drinks, and food are not allowed in the exhibition rooms, but there are free lockers available. I didn't understand at first, but after entering, I realized that indeed they cannot be brought in because the environment is immersive and relatively dark, and it's very possible to accidentally touch the artworks. 2️⃣There is a free water point on the first floor (I was too excited to think about drinking water, you can ask the staff for the specific location) 3️⃣I saw a restroom on the second floor, which is also quite hidden, only marked with 'WC' (there should be restrooms on other floors as well) 4️⃣There are many mirrors inside the exhibition rooms, walk slowly, don't rush, we are appreciating art, be careful when you see yourself, it's a mirror! ❤️Main exhibition rooms (in the order I experienced them, there might be some I missed, for reference): 🍀Forest of Resonating Lamps: As soon as you enter the first floor, you'll see it, consisting of water columns of various shapes, with the flow of water changing according to the direction people walk. 🍀The World of Water Particles (Must-see‼️): Walk up a small hill to see flowers blooming and water flowing. 🍀Animations of frogs, carriages, rabbits, butterflies, lotuses, and monk: I don't know the name of the exhibition room, it's just that there are several walls with these special animations. 🍀Crystal World (Must-see‼️): Very glamorous, you can walk into it, girls will definitely like it! 🍀Memory of Topography: You can also walk into it, changing different imageries according to different seasons. 🍀Group of Characters 🍀Forest of Lamps (Must-see‼️): Very beautiful, probably the most popular work. 🍀Universe of Water Particles (Must-see‼️): Hundreds of light spheres move through space, very impressive! 🍀Ocean Life DIY Drawing Area: One ticket allows you to exchange for a coloring sheet for free, and after scanning, you can see your artwork swimming in the ocean. 🍀Outdoor leisure terrace on the third floor: You can drink coffee and eat cake. 🍀Shop on the first floor: You can print the ocean life you DIYed earlier on badges, T-shirts, towels to take home (for a fee). 🥳In addition, I heard there is a tea room inside the museum, which requires an additional fee, and I didn't go in because it was quite a long wait.
