The artist transformed the cobblestone road that has been trampled thousands of times into an impromptu dance of glaze and flame. Each block of color looks like wrinkles ironed by time, with a thrilling sense of order in the mottled appearance. “We are creating landscapes with every step, like the mosaics of the ancient Greeks,” he said. The glaze prepared using a special process collapses freely in the kiln fire and eventually freezes into an organic form like a coral reef. The dark silver texture hides the breathing holes of bubbles, and when you look closer, you can actually see tiny golden sands flashing. The artist said that this is "the beauty of the origin without human will."
