Citywalk & Bike Ride: Discovering Shanghai’s Best Streets 🚴

#discoverchina 📍 Route: Wukang Road > Anfu Road > Wulumuqi Road > Yanqing Road > Huaihai Road > Jing’an Temple > Yuyuan Road 💞 Have you ever tried cycling in a city? We found that many locals in Shanghai prefer bicycles as their main mode of transport. Shared bikes are everywhere, making it super convenient—you just scan with Alipay to unlock, and the cost is very affordable (only 1.5 to 3 RMB per ride!). Cycling made our citywalk much easier and more enjoyable! 🚴♂️ Here’s our route for the day: ➊ Wukang Road – Our starting point! This historic building is a hotspot for photographers. We even got a Polaroid taken—just 20 RMB per photo! ➋ Anfu Road – Passed by a gorgeous flower shop and couldn’t resist grabbing a bouquet. Stopped at 13 de Marzo, a bear-themed café (cute but drinks were average). Further ahead, we checked out Looknow, famous for its Jellycat Vienna coffee—highly recommended! ➌ Wulumuqi Road – Visited Tagi Gift Shop, a super cute store with an irresistible collection of goodies. The staff was really friendly, and I ended up getting an adorable backpack. Lunch was a Shanghai must-try—squirrel fish—so delicious! ➍ Yanqing Road – Had to visit Goodbai, the brand founded by actor Bai Jingting. The store’s interior is stunning, and prices are quite reasonable—T-shirts for 199 RMB, shoes around 600 RMB. ➎ Huaihai Road – Often called Shanghai’s mini Hannam-dong, this area is home to Korean fashion brands like Tamburins, Gentle Monster, and Nudake. Picked up a perfume from Tamburins and tried the croissant coffee latte at Nudake—loved it! ❻ Jing’an Temple – Got ourselves the famous blessing coffee—a must-try for good luck! 🍀 ❼ Yuyuan Road – Ended our day at TimeZero, an adorable photo studio with Pingu-themed decor. Perfect way to wrap up the adventure! Final Thoughts: If you’re planning a Shanghai citywalk, I highly recommend using a bike—it’s fast, fun, and makes exploring so much easier. We wouldn’t have been able to finish everything in one day without it! 🚴✨
