Strolling through Fudan, Encountering Poetry in Time

Fudan University was founded in 1905 and celebrates its 120th anniversary this year. It is one of China's earliest higher education institutions established by private initiative. The name "Fudan" was selected from the ancient classic Shangshu Dazhuan·Yuxia Zhuan, quoting the famous line "The sun and moon shine brightly, day after day," chosen by its founder, Mr. Ma Xiangbo, a modern Chinese democratic educator, embodying the aspiration for China's rejuvenation. After multiple relocations and academic restructuring, it has now become a comprehensive research university. Walking through the campus, one can feel its profound historical heritage. Right at the entrance stands the imposing statue of Chairman Mao, truly magnificent 👏. The Guanghua Tower, a landmark of Fudan, stands 142 meters tall and houses classrooms and offices. Gazing up at it from the front is awe-inspiring. Transportation Guide (Subway): Metro: Fudan University's Handan Campus is located at 220 Handan Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai. Take Exit 2 of Fudan University Station on Metro Line 18, and it's about a 3-minute walk.
