Shanghai Lingang Hotel

Stumbled upon a post saying the Artyzen Hotel in Lingang is no worse than InterContinental, so I stayed a night and was truly amazed! Opening the door was a wow moment—spacious, with a walk-in closet and a well-separated dry/wet bathroom area. Minibar drinks are complimentary. The gym is fully equipped, and the pool is mostly shallow, perfect for kids. The room package included afternoon tea—great coffee, though desserts were a bit too sweet. Breakfast was lavish with lovely outdoor views, but kids need to pay half-price for breakfast vouchers. **Epic Pool**: Swimmers will love this! The water is about 1 meter deep, just right in winter—not cold—and the area is spacious. Best part? Few people! Introverts rejoice, swim any way you like. Pop on underwater headphones and instantly feel like a mermaid. **All-Purpose Gym**: Nearly complete equipment, all very new—fitness buffs will grin (didn’t spot barbells, but plenty of alternatives). Overall, great value—photo-worthy, perfect for staycations, and with lake views. Best paired with nearby landmarks like the Planetarium and A Thousand Gardens. Catching a fireworks show would be the cherry on top!
