Visiting Shanghai for a Few Days

Shanghai is one of the cities I am most familiar with as a travel destination. When I was a child, I used to visit here every summer vacation, and having grown up in this city, it feels far from unfamiliar to me. Shanghai cuisine tends to be on the sweeter side. You might have heard of dishes like Grandma's Braised Pork or Shengjian Bao (pan-fried buns), but one of my personal favorites is a cold dish made with lotus root. Popular attractions include The Bund, City God Temple, and Shanghai Disneyland. However, the suburbs of Shanghai also have their own unique charm, filled with a magical atmosphere. Whether it's architecture, nature, or art, the stories of people and events are an integral part of the experience. Perhaps you could explore Sichuan North Road or Pudong with your loved ones or family to discover what makes this grand city of Shanghai so special. I still cherish the rice cakes and Eight Treasures Rice lovingly prepared by my family. While they may not be considered luxurious dishes, the taste of home is something that can never be replaced.
