Even mountaineering sticks and fruits are available. 6️⃣Lion's Nest - Jixiang Temple (altitude 2328m), 4.75 kilometers, ascent 180m, descent 160m, 2 hours (No supplies available for purchase at Jixiang Temple, it is advisable to buy a bottle of sports drink in advance for the first segment of the next day's journey) 🥤Supplies | 1️⃣Jinge Temple vegetarian meal time before 12:30, and not guaranteed, you can have lunch at Da Nan Village in advance (there are hot dishes like shaved noodles). 2️⃣Although the online guides all say Jixiang Temple dinner before 5:30 pm, it is actually available until 8 pm, if you are really worried, you can eat at Lion's Nest before going there. 3️⃣There are plenty of supplies throughout the second day, no need to carry all the water for the day from the start. 🏠Ancient Architecture | 1️⃣Jinge Temple, founded in the Tang Dynasty, the existing temple buildings and statues were all restored during the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods. The murals around the Mahavira Hall were painted in the Ming Dynasty. The temple is predominantly red, restored to its old look, and has a lot of charm. 2️⃣Wutai Mountain's Wanfo Pagoda, a national treasure, is located inside Lion's Nest. Lion's Nest was formerly known as Dahuguo Wenshu Monastery, which was destroyed in the 1970s, and now only the Wanfo Pagoda remains. It is the only glazed Buddha pagoda preserved on Wutai Mountain. The inscription on the fifth layer of glazed brick reads: 'In the twenty-seventh year of the Wanli era, Wang Qing and others from the western town of Dingzhou in Zhili made and built the pagoda, completed in the thirty-second year, named: Buddha Image Diancui Glazed Pagoda.' Personally, I feel that the restoration of Lion's Nest is not as good as Jinge Temple, which has been more thoroughly renovated.
