A creepy temple in Japan???

Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine (上色見熊野座神社) started to offer ritual service in 14th century. This atmospheric shrine is hidden among the cypress forests surrounding Takamori, a small town at the foot of Mt. Aso. About 100 moss-covered toro, or stone lanterns, line the steps to the shrine. In fact, it is kinda creepy to walk through the stairs as it was quite dark / gloomy due to the thick threes surrounding the place. This shrine is famous for being the setting of a popular anime and manga comic Hotarubi no Mori e (Into the Forest of Fireflies Light /蛍火の杜へ )written by Yuki Midorikawaz. 位於九州熊本縣阿蘇郡的「上色見熊野座神社」，以其登場於人氣動畫作品中的奇幻場景而聞名。爬滿青苔的鳥居與石燈籠、岩壁上的大風穴等，都在社群媒體上爆紅。雖建造時間不詳，但在神社內發現可能是西元4～5世紀的古墳群，可見這裡自古以來便是民眾的信仰中心。另外，擁有許多傳說，也是上色見熊野座神社的特色之一。神社境內高大的杉樹林延伸至天際，放眼望去綠蔭遮天，充滿神祕感的美景映入眼簾。#japan #travel #temple
