[Aichi Prefecture/Toka Shrine] A shrine with a cute family of deers

Toka Shrine is Mikawa Province's Ichinomiya Shrine. It consists of two shrines, the Okumiya Shrine at the top of Mt. Hongu and the Satomiya Shrine, which is the village shrine! It is said that the shrine was built at the foot of Mt. Hongu in order to fulfill the wish of an old man whom Kusakado Kinnobu encountered when he was on a mission to Mikawa Province to appease Emperor Mommu's illness. Perhaps because of the deer in the name Toka, there was a cute family of deer in the precincts! The shrine building has a dignified feel and is a sobering sight.
