Wat Phra That Nong Bua

Phra That Chedi Sri Maha Pho, or as Ubon people call it “Phra That Nong Bua”, its shape may not be familiar to other chedis that Thais are familiar with because it was modeled after the Buddha Gaya Chedi, the place where the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment in India. Around the chedi on all 4 sides, there are carvings of the Buddha of the day of birth, as well as stories of the Ten Lives of the Buddha. Below the chedi are Buddhist disciples of the Buddhist order.
