Huishan Ancient Town is located in the northeastern slope of Wuxi West, Xishan and Huishan. It is 8 meters above sea level, 120°16 east longitude and 31°34 north latitude. Only 2.5 kilometers from the city center, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal flows close to its north. The prehistoric culture of Wuxi has been around for more than 4,000 years, and there are ruins of the Xishan ancestors. It is characterized by its unique geographical location, beautiful natural environment and dense distribution of ancient temples. It is the only block in Wuxi Old Street. In June 2006, with the approval of the State Council, the Huitang Ancient Town Yutang Group was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Huishan Ancient Town has been included in the list of preparations for the World Cultural Heritage.
