The Headquarters of the Hundred Regiments Offensive - Former Site of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters (II)

The 'Headquarters of the Hundred Regiments Offensive - Former Site of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters' is located in Zhuangbi Village, Panlong Town, Wuxiang County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province. From July 1939 to June 1942, the Eighth Route Army Headquarters stationed in Zhuangbi Village four times, making it the village with the most headquarters visits. In 1940, the Eighth Route Army Headquarters commanded the famous Zhengtai Line Campaign (Hundred Regiments Offensive) here. The site consists of two farmyards and the Yuhuang Temple building complex, including the former residences of Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, and Zuo Quan, as well as the staff office and meeting room. The site is divided into two parts with four exhibition rooms, featuring over 200 precious historical photos and more than 100 revolutionary relics, recreating the glorious journey of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters in North China. On March 4, 1961, the former site of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters in Zhuangbi was announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. It was officially opened to the public on October 1, 1980, and has now become a comprehensive education base integrating party history, party spirit, integrity, national defense education, and red tourism.
