Xu Xiake rated Jiulihu as one of the three wonders of Fujian

Jiulihu is located in the Wanshan area to the northeast of Xianyou County, Xinghua Prefecture, as mentioned in 'Qian Que Lei Shu'. Jiulihu is a national AAAA level scenic spot, the birthplace of Chinese dream-praying culture, located in Zhongshan Town, Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province, 31 kilometers away from the county seat, with an altitude of 590 meters. Jiulihu is one of the 'Four Sceneries' of Xianyou (Jiulihu, Maixie Rock, Caixi Rock, Tianma Mountain), known for its lake, cave, waterfall, and rock formations, especially its waterfalls, hence the reputation of 'Jiulihu's flying waterfall is a wonder of the world'. Jiulihu, as a national water conservancy scenic spot and a provincial scenic spot, was rated by the great Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake as one of the 'Three Wonders of Fujian' along with Wuyi Mountain and Yuhua Cave.
