| Xichang Travel Guide. Location: Xichang, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan 🏠 Accommodation Recommendations: It's about a half-hour taxi ride to the Satellite Launch Center. It's a 20-minute bike ride back from a stroll in the old town. This location is really convenient, even for someone with no sense of direction. 🛋️ Room Report: ▫️ Safe and air conditioning work properly (very important in summer) ▫️ Kettle comes with bottled water, which is a nice touch ▫️ Bathroom floor drain works well, no standing water ▫️ Bedding is dry and smells like sunshine 🚗 Transportation Test: Take bus No. 6 directly to the city center after arriving at Xichang West Railway Station. It's a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport to the city center. For travel within the city, it is recommended to use Wanshun (faster than Didi). 🗺 Three Days and Two Nights Itinerary: [Day 1: Qionghai North Line] Diaoyutai to see seagulls → Walk along the seaside boardwalk to Moonlight Town (the popular white sand beach is here!) → Take the cable car up Lushan Mountain for a panoramic view → Stroll through the wetland park on the way down the mountain → Head to Silver Scales Beach in the evening for some Japanese-style photos [Day 2: Qionghai South Line] Rent Yi ethnic clothing for photos in Dashiban Village (the orange wall is super photogenic) → Take the sightseeing bus from Walnut Village to Golden Scales Beach to watch the sunset → Have barbecue at Xiaoyucun in the evening (remember to dip the drunken shrimp in vinegar) [Day 3: City Stroll] Jianchang Ancient City has two different vibes during the day and night (recommend seeing both) → Tangyuan at night feels like traveling back to the Tang Dynasty → See the giant totem poles at Torch Square 📸 Photo Guide: 1️⃣ The light at Golden Scales Beach is most beautiful after 5pm 2️⃣ The orange wall next to the Lingying Temple in Dashiban Village has amazing light and shadow 3️⃣ The crooked tree by the pier in Moonlight Town is a hidden gem 4️⃣ Remember to have a friend record a video of you on the Lushan Mountain slide 🍜 Food Recommendations: ✅ Xiong’s Beef and Mutton Offal Noodles (add as much mint as you like) ✅ Xiaoyucun Barbecue (the grilled fish is incredibly tender and juicy) ✅ Huili Chicken Noodles (the soup is so good you'll want to take it home) ❌ Liangshan burgers are just baked potatoes with chili powder ❌ The tamarind juice sold on the street is too sweet; Liangshan snow yogurt is a better choice 💡 Hard-earned Lessons: 1️⃣ Rent an electric scooter with an 80km range! We had to push ours for 2km 2️⃣ The monkeys on Lushan Mountain will open your bag zippers! I saw a monkey steal a man's bananas 3️⃣ Apply lots of sunscreen! The UV rays are so strong you can get sunburned in half an hour 4️⃣ The temperature difference between day and night is huge, a light down jacket is more practical than a coat
