That's why I chose a relatively niche destination this time—Shaoguan Yunji Mountain! After arriving, I discovered that not only could I hike the mountain, but at the foot of the mountain, there was also an ancient water town designed with Huizhou architecture and stilted buildings. No one lives there, and there's no commercial atmosphere. Strolling through the ancient town and by the stream, I felt as if I were in the south of the Yangtze River, it was so comfortable and healing... 📍Address: Yunji Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve, Xinfeng, Shaoguan, Guangdong 🎫Ticket: 24 RMB/person (15 RMB for the elderly/children) 🚇Transportation: Transportation here is not very convenient, it is recommended to drive yourself. There are several parking lots in the scenic area, 10 RMB/vehicle. ✅tips 1️⃣The ancient town is located a few hundred meters to the left of the entrance to the scenic area (near Parking Lot No. 1). It's not very big, and you can finish walking and taking pictures in about 1-2 hours. 2️⃣In addition to the ancient town, you can also hike to the main peak, which is over 1400 meters above sea level. The whole round trip takes about 5-6 hours. 3️⃣After the visit, there are many farmhouses on the way down the mountain where you can eat and rest. The food tastes good and the portions are generous.
