Four-cornered building at Xiaozhenkou, Huaixi Village, Xingning, Guangdong

Xiaozhenkou Four-Cornered Building is located in Xiaozhenkou, Huaixi Village, Huanghuai Town, Xingning City, Guangdong Province. It covers an area of ​​about 1,860 square meters. The main building is 41.2 meters wide and 30.9 meters deep, covering an area of ​​1,273 square meters. The Four-Cornered Tower at Xiaozhenkou was built by the 20th generation ancestors of the Zeng family, Chaoyun and Chaoxiang, in the late Qing Dynasty. The Xiaozhenkou Four-Cornered Tower faces east and sits west. It is a four-cornered tower with three halls and two cross rooms. The four-cornered tower is two-story, and there is a wheat field and a pond in front of the gate. The courtyard house has 15 halls, 56 rooms, and 12 patios. There are 12 wooden pillars in the upper, middle, and lower halls, and 2 bluestone pillars at the door. There is a "hundred birds picture" carved on the beams, and a pair of wooden unicorns. The wall foundation is a pebble-lime rammed earth wall, and the upper part is made of earth bricks, wood, and tiles, with a gable roof. On August 10, 2009, Xiaozhenkou Sijiaolou was announced by the Xingning Municipal People's Government as a protected unit of "Xingning City's Characteristic Ancient Residences".
