Beichuan Wetland Park in Xining is located in the core section of Beichuan River in Xining City, with a total area of 173.5 hectares. The park is divided into five main scenic areas, which are: Huai Gu Garden: Including the Mythology and Epic sections, aiming to display the Kunlun culture and the historical and regional culture of Xining. The Mythology section is based on the sand sinking pool and the large water surface, creating a resting place for the original ecological environment by displaying the stories of Kunlun culture. The Epic section shows the historical changes of Xining and its important position in the history of Chinese national culture through historical development clues. Health Garden: This area is based on the plateau ecological wetland environment, expands the existing water surface, and forms multiple islands and peninsulas, increasing the fluidity and ecological value of the water body. Hexi Garden: Highlighting the theme of harmonious coexistence of multi-ethnic cultures, it shows the charm of Xining as a plateau water city and the elegance of the summer capital garden by displaying different ethnic cultural characteristics. Summer Capital Garden: With modern waterfront business leisure as the theme, using natural scenery and modern design elements to show the vitality and charm of Xining in the new era. In addition, the park also includes some man-made lakes and landscape bridges, such as 24 characteristic landscape bridges, and 28 groups of sculptures with different shapes. These facilities not only enrich the landscape of the park, but also provide visitors with diverse experience opportunities. The construction of the park began in 2013. After five years of hard work, it was opened to the public during the National Day holiday in 2018, becoming an important tourist attraction and cultural exchange place in Xining City.
