Karaweik Palace in Yangon, Myanmar

It is located near to Kandawgyi Lake and in fact the hall is built into the lake to give floating appearance. The name Karaweik means mystical bird with melodious cry. The shape of the hall itself is like two floating golden birds. The palace can be viewed from everywhere around the lake. Karaweik Palace is the only place in Yangon where you can discover authentic traditional performances, arts and crafts, and also a great variety of cuisine as it is functioned as restaurant too.
