As is typical for single-menu establishments, the food is served very quickly, and the variety and taste of the side dishes are excellent. Southern-style side dishes are truly delightful! 🥰 The crab set meal includes seasoned crab, soy sauce crab, and shrimp marinated in soy sauce. The seasoned crab here is less intense compared to other crab restaurants, making it enjoyable. Overly spicy seasoned crab can be stressful to eat (I don’t understand people who relieve stress with spicy food...😯), but the moderate spiciness here makes it suitable even for children. Yeosu’s soy sauce marinated crab is packed with roe and can be refilled, allowing you to eat to your heart’s content. While soy sauce crab can sometimes be overly salty (perhaps a marketing tactic?), the soy sauce crab at Fresh Crab Village is perfectly seasoned with a savory taste, letting you enjoy it fully without feeling overwhelmed. Although there’s no standalone photo of the shrimp marinated in soy sauce, it’s worth mentioning that it doesn’t have the fishy smell often found in shrimp dishes at seafood restaurants. The seasoning is just right, making it delicious even for those sensitive to fishy smells. If you usually avoid shrimp dishes due to the smell, give this one a try! One of the basic side dishes is a fish stew with a spicy flavor reminiscent of braised hairtail. Though I’m not sure of the exact fish type, it feels like croaker. The stew is so flavorful that it could easily be a main dish at a regular Korean restaurant. All side dishes are refillable, and even the rice can be refilled. Amazing... 🥰 The staff frequently checks the tables to see if you need more side dishes or rice, allowing you to focus on enjoying your meal. A friend from Suncheon, who isn’t as obsessed with crab as someone from Gyeonggi Province might be, cleared her plate because the side dishes were so delicious! ✨ After the meal, they serve a warm bowl of scorched rice water, leaving you with a warm and happy feeling.
