Clifford’s Tower หรือ หอคอยคลิฟฟอร์ดส์

Clifford’s Tower is located on a grassy hill on the eastern bank of the River Ouse in the heart of York, England. It is close to the Viking Centre, York Castle Museum and the city centre shopping area. Clifford’s Tower is a medieval castle tower, the remains of a castle built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. The tower was built in the 13th century after two previous versions were destroyed by fire. Inside the tower is a large courtyard with carved arched doors surrounding the walls. It was used as a prison and mint at the time. The tower is named after Lord Robert Clifford. #TravelEurope
